My 30th Birthday (Part 2)!!

For my actual birthday weekend, Kent surprised me with a weekend getaway to Galveston, TX!  He even arranged for childcare with my parents!  Haha!  We stayed at The San Luis Resort and had the best time!  It rained most of the day on Saturday, but we still went to a movie and enjoyed a delicious dinner!  It was so fun to celebrate my birthday and our up-coming 7th anniversary! :)

While we were away, Jackson had an awesome time at my parent's house!  He enjoyed lots of cookies and play-time in the pool!!

My 30th Birthday (Part 1)!!

On June 14th, I turned 30!!  I can't believe it!  Haha!  I am really excited about my 30's…can't wait to see what's in store!  To start the birthday celebrations off, my parents hosted an amazing lunch at Pappadeaux's in Austin!  We got to see lots of family…it was absolutely wonderful!  We enjoyed a delicious lunch, I received amazing and generous gifts, and just had the best time catching up with everyone! :)

And to top it all off…Mom and Dad took Jackson home with them, so Kent and I could have a "day off!"  So AMAZING!!  Haha!  Thank you so much, Mom and Dad, for such a wonderful birthday party and lunch!  I couldn't have asked for anything better!!  I love you so much! :)  

The Woodlands Children's Museum

Jackson and I went to The Woodlands Children's Museum with our friends Christine and Brayden!  The boys had a blast playing at all of the stations and we loved watching them explore and learn!  Can't wait to go back many, many more times! :)

A Visit from Benton, Laura, & Declan!

Over Memorial Day weekend, our friends Benton, Laura, and Declan came to visit!  We had the best time!  We went to the Splash Pad, played outside, took rides in the golf cart, ate yummy food, and just enjoyed hanging out with our sweet friends! :)

ISR Lessons

For the past 4 weeks, Jackson has been taking ISR (Infant Swim Response) Lessons!  These swim lessons teach the kiddos what to do in a pool emergency!  We have gone Monday - Friday for a 10 minute one-on-one lesson each day!  Jackson has learned to swim (kick and move his arms) and roll over to the floating position!  It's been so amazing watching him learn what to do in the water!  We are so proud of you Jackson! :)

He's had to wear all different kinds of outfits (jeans, pjs, winter clothes, swim clothes, etc.) to practice floating/swimming in different scenarios!
