Cooper's 5th Birthday Party!

This past Saturday, Kent, Jackson, and I went to cousin, Cooper's 5th Birthday Party!  It was a cammo/"water war" theme and Kelly had everything decorated perfectly…she is such an amazing party planner!  The food was delicious and there was so much for the kiddos to do outside…slip 'n slide, swim, throw water balloons, target practice, etc.!  Thanks guys for the invitation…we had a BLAST!!

Last Day of "School!"

Jackson just finished his last day of day care at First Presbyterian Church of Bryan.  The Children's Center has been such a wonderful place for Jackson!  He met his very first "best friends," learned to crawl, stand up, and play with others.  Jackson's teachers, Miss Judy, Beth, and Kayla, were the very best!  Also, the directors, Whitney and Casey, were sooo amazing!  I never worried about leaving Jackson at day care…they provided such a safe and happy place for my baby!  Thank you to everyone at FPCC…we love and miss you already!!

Kent's 1st Father's Day!

We recently celebrated Kent's 1st Father's Day!  What was even more special, was that we were in Abilene on Sunday, so we were able to celebrate Father's Day with Kent's Dad and Grandfather!  We had such a wonderful time visiting with everyone and thanking them for being such great Dad's!

I'd also like to thank my Dad and Grandfather for being such amazing men, fathers, and examples to us all!  You both have been inspirations to the whole family!  We love you!

Jackson and I are so blessed to have such an amazing husband and father in Kent!  He is such a wonderful provider, partner, and Godly example for Jackson and I to follow!  The Lord has truly blessed our lives!  We love you Kent/Daddy!!

Happy Father's Day! :)

9 Months Old!

On June 14th, Jackson turned 9 Months Old!!  Time is flying by!!  But, I guess that's because we are having so much fun! :)  At 9 Months Old, Jackson weighs 20 lbs. and is 28.5 inches long!  He is a growing boy and is loving is independence!  Jackson can pull up on everything and stand with very good balance!  He's starting to let go of the things he has pulled up on and has even taken a few steps by himself!  He is a very persistent (or at times stubborn) little boy…if he sees something he wants, he doesn't let anything get in his way; he keeps trying and trying until he is successful!  Not sure who he gets that from…haha!!  He is trying new foods and is starting to like different flavors and textures!  He loves to "drum" on everything and clap his toys together to make loud noises!  He says "Dada" all the time, but we are working on saying "Mama!"  He is still the happiest and sweetest boy I know!!  We love you sooo much Jackson…thank you for bringing so much joy to our lives!! :)

Trip to Abilene & My 29th Birthday!

A couple of weeks ago, Kent, Jackson, and I packed up the car and headed to Abilene!  Jackson did great during the car ride up there and when we made it, we were so excited to see everyone!  Jackson loved all the attention from our family and friends!  Haha!!  We did some shopping, ate at our favorite restaurants, and got to go to church on Sunday!  What a wonderful weekend!!

While we were in Abilene, I celebrated my 29th birthday!!  Woohoo!!  Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love my birthday!  Haha!!  On that Saturday, June 14th, I was blown away by all the sweet birthday wishes, gifts, cards, hugs, and love!  I am truly blessed!!  That night, Pa Pa & Grandmommy watched Jackson while Kent and I went to dinner with our friends Alex & Brady Beal!  We went to Perini's (this amazing steakhouse in Abilene) and had the best time!  We laughed during the entire meal!  :)  Afterwards, we met up with our sweet friends Benton and Laura and continued the celebrations at the Beal's house!!  Thank you to everyone for making my birthday sooo special!!

Memorial Day Weekend!

This Memorial Day Weekend we headed to Dallas to see my cousin, Lauren, get married!  She and Phil have been dating/engaged for a while and it was finally time to see them tie the knot!  Jackson had an ear infection, so he wasn't feeling great, and also, my camera's battery died, so I don't have a lot of pictures…but, to sum it up, the ceremony was probably one of the most sincere and heartfelt ceremonies that I've ever been to!  The reception was at the Dallas City Club and was a blast!  We didn't stay too long, but got to see Lauren and Phil have their first dance, eat dinner, hear the toasts from the Best Man & Maid of Honor, and see them cut the cake!

8 Months Old!!

I can't believe it, but Jackson turned 8 months old on May 14th!!  He's getting so big!  He is crawling everywhere and pulling up on anything and everything!  He's so curious about life, that everything is now baby proofed in the house!  Haha!  He's eating three meals a day, sleeping through the night, and starting to say, "Mama" and "Dada!"  I love when he sees Kent or I...he gets so excited and has to stop whatever he's doing and crawl directly to us!  When he gets excited, he starts to "dance"…which is bobbing his head, slapping his leg, and bouncing up and down!  He's still the sweetest boy I know!
